It's the active ingredient in several prescription acne medications (in a topical form). Ingestive results are more varied.

Vitamin A can be bought for cheap at online vitamin stores. Dont waste your money on Rite Aid and CVS brands. They're ALWAYS overpriced. I get my vitamin A at iHerb, and if you use the code PED549 at checkout you will get $5 off your first order. This stuff is AMAZING for acne.

My daughter has ADHD. We tried specific diets and gave her omega fatty acids and vitamins. We saw a slight improvement but we finally decided to try medication after seeing a psychiatrist for nearly a year, my grandmother, also a child physiologist, contributed her opinion. We were worried about her falling behind in school and continuing to play catchup for years to come because she couldn't concentrate. Before all this we had her carving into my wood furniture with metal toys, hitting her sisters, crying at the drop of a dime (most likely frustration we believe), taking up to four hours to do her homework and two to get ready for school. It was also affecting her social life. Every kid is different and have different severities but it's a black and white difference with her on the meds. She's happy, enjoys school, comprehends much more then before, the positives keep going. We keep her active with PT and sports, its a great energy burner.

oh with the diet...we make sure that she gets a 1 to 2 carb ratio of protein to carbs. That seems to work best for her. There are certain foods we stay away from .... I went to the book store and bought a few books on the subject. "ADD/ADHD for Dummies" actually has a lot of good info!!

Vitamin supplements that are not prescription only are not tested to see the blood levels reached when taking them. The FDA requires prescription providers of vitamins to document the blood levels typically reached by those taking the dosages. Supplements are not regulated the same way.

The first thing to learn about diet pills is how and why different types work so that you can find the best one for your own body. There are some good articles posted here that explain how and why different types of diet pills work. http://www.weightlossfatloss.us/diet_pills.asp Find the right one and they work great.

Most people start noticing the benefits of a supplement within anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on a few factors (mostly revolving around how their body processes it). However, with the hair, skin, and nail products, those work to make the currently growing hair/skin/nails healthy, not what's already grown out. The reason I point that out is that it may take a few months to see that first inch of hair/nails where you can actually see the new growth, but the skin should be noticeable within a month or so (skin is replaced faster than hair or nails, obviously). The flax should be noticeable much sooner and that should be any benefit among the health of the cardiovascular system, skin, heart, and the general tissues of the body.
Good luck and I hope I helped!
