Staging
To plan the best treatment, the doctor needs to know the stage (extent) of the disease. The stage is based on the size of the tumor, whether the cancer has spread and, if so, to what parts of the body.
Staging may involve imaging tests such as an ultrasound or a CT scan. The doctor also may use an MRI. For this test, a powerful magnet linked to a computer makes detailed pictures of organs and blood vessels.
Doctors describe kidney cancer by the following stages:
-
Stage I is an early stage of kidney cancer. The tumor measures up to 2 3/4 inches (7 centimeters). It is no bigger than a tennis ball. The cancer cells are found only in the kidney.
-
Stage II is also an early stage of kidney cancer, but the tumor measures more than 2 3/4 inches. The cancer cells are found only in the kidney.
-
Stage III is one of the following: The tumor does not extend beyond the kidney, but cancer cells have spread through the lymphatic system to one nearby lymph node; or The tumor has invaded the adrenal gland or the layers of fat and fibrous tissue that surround the kidney, but cancer cells have not spread beyond the fibrous tissue. Cancer cells may be found in one nearby lymph node; or The cancer cells have spread from the kidney to a nearby large blood vessel. Cancer cells may be found in one nearby lymph node.
-
Stage IV is one of the following: The tumor extends beyond the fibrous tissue that surrounds the kidney; or Cancer cells are found in more than one nearby lymph node; or The cancer has spread to other places in the body such as the lungs.
-
Recurrent cancer is cancer that has come back (recurred) after treatment. It may come back in the kidney or in another part of the body.
Treatment
Many people with kidney cancer want to take an active part in making decisions about their medical care. They want to learn all they can about their disease and their treatment choices. However, shock and stress after the diagnosis can make it hard to think of everything they want to ask the doctor. It often helps to make a list of questions before an appointment. To help remember what the doctor says, people may take notes or ask whether they may use a tape recorder. Some also want to have a family member or friend with them when they talk to the doctor-to take part in the discussion, to take notes, or just to listen.
The doctor may refer the patient to a specialist, or the patient may ask for a referral. Specialists who can give the best treatment removal for kidney cancer include doctors who specialize in diseases of the urinary system (urologists) and doctors who specialize in cancer (medical oncologists and radiation oncologists).
Thanks again for taking time and reading, and remember there is always hope.
All the best.

1,900 Americans die every day because of the suppression of natural therapies for curing cancer.. THE REAL STORY can be found at ravediet dot com. sounds like what happened to my aunt. except the muscle controled bowel movement and cancer spread to her intestines, which created a perferation that cause toxins from her intestines to enter her body. while on chemo she died because of this.

mainly uterus cancers for female and prostate cancer for male, and the body becomes susceptible for infection, and as we know recurrent infection means recurrent regeneration for cells, this make the change in cell structure and function so easy, and when the function or structure of cells or both are changed the result will be cancer

I think prevention is the first line to defeat cancer, when you try to prevent some factors that may be led to cancer, you will prevent a large problem, some factors you can modify it like “stop smoking” will aid in lung cancer prevention, avoidance of unhealthy sex like have more than one sexual partner will reduce the occurance of infection especially STD which consider the main risk factors for many cancers.
teh true cause of cancer is the lack of abapness in some of yall bodiez, nah mean!? you can get rid of it by playin da ps triple or ride in some caddy, but don’t play teh wii with its mothafuckin dildo ass controlla, nah mean nigga?! CHAD WIZZY BE BALLIN!!

I also have stage 3 colon cancer. The chemo is only fatal in very rare cases. What she is probably on is called FOLFOX (5FU, Oxalyplatin and Leucovorin). 5FU has been in use since the 1950's and is considered very successful. Leucovorin is a vitamin which helps it work. Oxalyplatin is another chemo which works on the colon cancer. Loss of appetite and headaches are common–she is probably also having pain in her hands if she handles cold things (from the Oxalyplatin), and mouth sores.
I'm not surprised she's having chemo delayed. My aunt who had breast cancer had hers delayed each treatment. I've been lucky so far–I just finished my 9th treatment, and no delays yet. She needs to stay wrapped up and keep from getting chilled. Also, Vitamin C and zinc will keep her white blood cell count up. For her red blood cell count (to prevent anemia), she needs to eat red meat.
If she's already had surgery, her survival rate is 60% without chemo. The chemo adds about 30%, so her doctor is telling her the same thing my oncologist is telling me (he's one of the hot dogs at the Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis).
The "box" you're talking about is a colonostomy bag. The doctors use them as rarely as possible, and they usually do reverse them as quickly as possible.
She may have appetite loss because some things do taste strange, like a metallic taste, due to the chemo. Try different foods to see if there are any that are OK. I found that fruits and vegetables are less likely to leave an aftertaste. Mouth sores can be helped with a salt water rinse, or the doctor can give her a special mouth rinse that she should use as soon as they appear.
THERES A CURE FOR CANCER.
THEN
LOOK AT HOW MUCH MONEY THEY MAKE OF IT.
———————— FINAL VERDICT. YOU HAVE TO BE SMART TO UNDERSTAND
This is absolutely awful! It’s not helpful at all. If anything it’s scare mongering! What exactly are you trying to achieve with this??
