Healthy Diet: 3 Easy Steps to a healthy diet. Learn easily what health nutrition can do for you

Are you currently living a healthy lifestyle? Do you follow a strict healthy diet? If not then starting such a healthy eating plan can be very difficult. But it is important to remember that such a plan is exactly what you need to maintain vital bodily functions. It might be difficult to break your bad habits, but it is necessary to do so if you want to lead a healthy life, and reduce your risk of disease. Below are three easy steps you can follow to healthy eating.

Three Steps to healthy eating

Step1

A good place to start your healthy diet would be in your own kitchen! Start by getting rid of all the unhealthy beverages, sweets, snacks and other foods which fall into the “unhealthy” category. This is done to curb your temptation to snack unhealthily as it will be a lot more difficult to get your hands on such snacks when it is not readily available. Replace these unhealthy foods with more healthy snacks such as carrot sticks, fresh or dried fruit, yogurt or whole wheat crackers.

Step2

Simply put, knowledge is power! Take your first week of eating healthily and take notes of all the foods you have been eating. Then go and learn about their nutrients, and how they affect your body. This is one of the most important steps, because if you know the actual function of the different nutrients in your body, you are much more likely to make healthy eating choices. We all know that fresh fruits etc are healthy, now go learn why! It might also be worth noting the nutrients and their effect of your old, unhealthy diet!

Step3

The next step is to take a conscious decision on your eating times. Do not eat randomly as you will be much more likely to eat fast, junk food. Plan ahead! Grabbing something quick for lunch is out of the question! Consider taking a healthy packed lunch to work which includes a fresh fruit. When you get home at night, do not eat within3 hours of going to sleep. Give your body at least 3 hours to burn off dinner before going to sleep; else this will just get turned into fat!

Eat breakfast, then a light snack at about 10am or 11am then have Lunch, then again a light snack at about 3pm or 4pm then dinner at about 6.30pm. It’s important to note that your snacks could simply be an apple, or banana or even some dry fruits or nuts. The idea with this way of eating is to keep your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) as high as possible. This is the rate at which your body burns calories while not being active. When you wait too long between meals, your body instinctively goes into “Starvation” mode and lowers its BMR to store energy for future use and survival. Think of it as stoking a fire.

If this all seems too much to jump right into, start with baby steps and slowly ease yourself into the above mentioned situations. Replace just half of the soda you drink with water. Or instead of eating fast food every day for lunch, eat it just half the week; this alone will drastically reduce your calorie intake. This method will not take such a knock on your body and you will not feel like you are replacing all the foods your love. It might take some time for you to get used to the new foods, and to learn about their nutrients and its effect on your body (Remember, knowledge is power!) It is VERY important to remember though; that you must slowly better you’re eating habits and move towards the above mentioned steps.

It might also be worth checking out a professional’s eating plan, like the 10 day master cleanser diet from Raylen Sterling. His plan was mentioned on Oprah Winfrey’s show, and Beyonce Knowles used his method to loose 20 pounds.

  • 1. eat plenty of whole grains- at least 1 serving at every meal. whole grains could be bread, rice, crackers, cereal, or pasta. a serving is only 1/2 cup!

    2. eat a serving of protein at every meal- egg, 3 oz fish, chicken, or fish, 1/2 cup beans,

    3. cook with canola or olive oil

    4. 2 med sized fruit daily

    5. 2.5 cups of veggies daily- or half your plate at every meal!

    6. eliminate processed flour food like regular white bread and pasta

    7. eliminate or rarely eat salty snack foods, soda, and candy

    8. dairy- 1 serving day

    9. nuts- if you are not allergic, 1-2 handfuls a day

    10. water- drink when thirsty

  • Here's a few diet habits that you could do.
I am inspired by the Japanese low rate of obesity and life longetivity.

Walk more often! Many Japanese don't rely on their car or public cars to do their activities. They do a lot of walking and climbing stairs on their daily activities. Japanese also ride bicycle often, those are good ways to increase the calories output.

Don't eat like a giant! You can start reducing your consumption, it may take sometime before your stomach is used to it.

Don't eat until you are full! Eat until you are 80% full.

Consume more fish based foods rather than meat based products.

Eat slowly! Compare the eating speed of a person that uses chopstick versus a person that uses spoon and fork. The chopstick is carefully designed so that you will eat slowly to let your digestion process works effectively. So eat at slower pace no matter how hungry you are.

Make that a habit and combine your habits with healthy foods

  • Check out the health products on my channel and blog!

  • @AngelHoobes rofl i know. I never drink that much. No wonder I always feel tired.

  • thats a lie you shouldnt carry around 6 glasses of water everday , if you drink tea that counts = glass of water, bottle of juice etc so I THINK YOU SHOULD LOOSE WEIGHT YOUR SELF :/

  • There is no magic pill or program for weight loss, regardless of what others tell you.

When I first started weight watchers, it took me about 6 – 8 weeks before I saw steady benefits i.e. steady 2 – 3 lb loss per week.

You need to follow a sensible diet and start exercising. Start eating fruits and vegetables and lean protein.

There is a great show on the Lifestyle channel, Cook Yourself Thin. They show you how to change your fave recipes to low fat, low calorie. It’s a really neat show.

Their idea is that you take your goal weight and multiply by 10. This number is your maximum daily calories.

You need to eat what's called filling foods to not get hungry all the time. Things like apples and bananas are filling. Almost all types of beans, garbanzo, green, kidney, re-fried fat-free, beets, cauliflower are some of the many filling veggies.

Avoid over-use of salt, you will retain water.

Drink water, and if you don’t like it plain try a little squeezed lemon or lime in it. Drink at least 8 ozs before each meal.

You may also want to try switching from 3 meals a day and eating 4 or 5 lighter meals.

Exercise, … if you don’t already start walking or anything. Just don’t overdo it at first or you will find reasons to stop.

Losing weight requires a lifestyle change.

    Good luck!

  • 2000 calories is too much or too little depending on the person.
A rough estimate is your current weight times 10 first
.I am 132# 1320 calories to maintain my weight for lying in bed all day. Add 10% (132) for digesting and eating food
S0 1452, next times your activity level
    0.2 for sedentary
0.3 for moderately active (1452 x 0.3=435.6+1452=1887.6 calories per day to maintain my weight)
So 2000 would be too much.
You need to plug the numbers to find your needs. To lose weight remove no more than 500 calories per day (unless your caloric needs exceed 3000 calories per day) from what is needed to MAINTAIN your weight. With that you should lose roughly 1 lb per week (3500 calories = 1 # of fat)
    0.5 for highly active.
Your intake should not be any lower than 1200 calories per day of highly varied foods, that contains
    fruit, rainbow of fruits
    veggies brighter=more vitamins
lean meats (or meat alternatives) skinless chicken pork loin, round ste, tofu, soybeans, legumes
a healthy balance of fats, canola oil, flaxseed oil, non-hydrogenated margarine or a small amount of butter,
    whole grains
lowfat dairy lowfat yogurt and cottage cheese (also a meat alternative) lowfat cheese
and low in sugar. limit sodas, ban the sugar bowl. There is no dietary recommendation for sugar-
whole grains-wheat bread (3 grams of fiber per svg) brown rice, whole wheat tortillas

There is actually a more complex formula that uses your height, gender and age. But this formula is adequate enough

  • do YOU want UNLIMITED VITALITY once and for all ? this is for real , no jokes , start now while you still have the opportunity ,before its too late , go to w? w w . vitalityunlimited . stemtechbiz . com for more info .

  • you probably can't lose 50lbs in 6months unless you eat less than 1500cals a day or if you exercise for hrs. a day..
eating 1500cals is safe to do but you will have to get use to being hungry each and every day of the 6months. i did it for 5months and lost 33lbs.
if you think you can lose 50lbs in 6months without feeling hungry each day then i don't think that is realistic.

  • A food plan that is easy to follow without any expensive things to buy.

A food plan that lets me feel satified with every meal and not still starving.

A food plan that allows me the freedom to choose what I want to eat – within reason.

A food plan that doesn't cut out one or more food groups.

A food plan that gives good results on the scales and in inches.

A food plan that doesn't make me tired and leaves me with no energy and headaches.

A food plan that lets you have a little treat every now and again without you putting 2Lbs back on.

A food plan that feels like a food plan and not a DIET.

I think that is all I could really ask for.

    Hope this helps.

    Bon

  • The MOST important thing is to eat naturally..without medicines, chemicals, "starving" your self etc.

first, it would be best for you to eat as healthy as possible..this will also help you considerably to lose weight gradually and naturally..

eat fresh fruits, vegetables, drink plenty of WATER..avoid all cokes, caffeines, smoking, alchohol etc. as these also add weight as well as they contain chemicals which disturb your natural bio rythmns as well as brain chemistry. try not to eat too much meat, and the meat you should eat should be "lean meat" such as steamed chicken and rice, or steamed fish with rice..and vegetables,, this should be your staple diet rice and vegetables with fruits..AVOID "JUNK FOOD" and "Fast Food" as this type of food is very unhealthy, lacking in vitamins really and has plenty of fattening molecules which make one gain weight and is not good .

if you snack,, try fruits with yogurt or fruit yogurt and nuts.. nuts are very healthy for your body .and contain proteins.

go for walks every evening or morning or whenever you get time each day for 1 hour or 2 hours..make this somewhere you enjoy walking even if you have to drive a bit to there..and make this a daily routine..you will enjoy it once you get into it ..and it makes you feel great after..just walking for 1 hour or 2 hours.

if you do this..every day for one month ..you should lose around 10 pounds (.714 stone) per month until you get to your natural healthy weight.. look up on the internet for an idea of what your weight for your height should be ..and when you get to this weight,,your body will look very nice and you will feel very good.

10 pounds (.714 stone ) each month in 3 months you should lose 30 pounds (2 stones, 2 pounds)..for sure…but no junk food and dont drink alcohol or smoke, dont eat junk..just healthy food with vitamins and walking 1 hour or 2 hours every day..and drink plenty of water..this is guaranteed way to lose weight naturally and for good, if you stick to this, which you should,,as it makes you feel so much more positive due to the vitamins and lack of chemicals making you feel depressed…

btw, forgot to mention,,just in case you dont know how to really make healthy meals..buy a "food steamer" at your local deparment store..they are very cheap and work very well..as well as buy a "rice cooker" which is also very cheap..eating rice is a great way to get your necessary carbs "healthy carbs" to lose weight and has lots of natural energy inside. you can buy asian rice at most large supermarkets or if you have a local oriental market..they sale quality asian rice.. thai or indian rice is good "jasmine rice".. buy corn or canola oil to sprinkle on vegetables or rice before steaming to add to taste as well as you can buy several nice spices like "cumin" or "Curry powders", etc.just sprinkle on the vegetables before steaming to give nice taste.

drink "Green Tea" as this is very healthy and helps burn extra fat faster…you can buy quality green tea at most oriental shops or large supermarkets as well
