Get a Healthy Body With a Healthy Diet

WHO (World Health Organization) defines health as a state of complete mental, physical, and social well-being; not only the absence of infirmity or disease.

It is well said and well proven that there is always a healthy mind in a healthy body. Better health is directly related to a person’s well being — mentally and socially too. By maintaining good health, you’ll not only feel better about yourself, but you‘ll also live well too.

Following a healthy diet is crucial to a better health because a good diet helps to prevent critical diseases such as obesity, heart attacks, and strokes. A good diet will also be helpful to treat diabetes, high blood pressure, and celiac disease. And if you need to prevent vitamin deficiency and loss of muscle strength, you have to eat a well-balanced diet and exercise regularly.

Heart attacks and obesity are two major health problems for people living in today’s high stress working environment. Unfortunately, most of the working people eat high calorie food that their body usually does not burn. As a result of their high calorie intake, these people tend to have less physical exercise, which finally results into obesity. Obesity can then lead to other diseases like diabetes, heart diseases, high blood pressure just to name a few.

To prevent obesity and maintain a healthy weight you need to eat low calorie food. Fruits and vegetables are great energy food, which you can eat in a large amount without thinking of calories. Vegetables and fruits contains large amount of carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, proteins and fats necessary for healthy bones, organs, muscles and nerves. Vitamins and minerals found in green leaves and juicy fruits are essential for normal body metabolism.

Clearly, eating a well-balanced diet which includes fruits and vegetables are an important part of a good diet. Everyone can benefit from eating more of them, and eating a variety of them is as important as the quantity you consumed. Most importantly, it’s critical to also include regular exercise into your well-balanced diet if you want to maintain a health body.

Question about health bodyWhy is eating an all meat diet bad for your health and body?
I have this coworker who is a passionate 21 yr old, who is convinced that eating an all meat diet is the best for your body and health. It is absolutely crazy, so if lots of people would respond with legitimate scientific/health reasons why not, that would be awesome!!! :)

  • Here is a day. Message me for a week. Mark me as best answer for a month plan.

    One day meal plan:

Breakfast – Smoothie with 1 cup of mixed berries, half a cup of milk, half a cup of ice cubes, and 1-1 and 1/2 scoops of protein powder. I use power bar vanilla flavor.

Snack 1 – Protein bar. I use "23 grams of protein".

Lunch – Sandwich with low fat meat, low sodium cheese, and whole wheat bread. Vegetables, or salad with low fat dressing.

Snack 2 – Cooked soy nuts (salt them to add flavor).

Dinner Option 1 – Cooked fish (halibut preferably) with low fat lemon sauce and long grain rice, plus mixed vegetables or salad. Add bread or a roll if you need more calories.

Dinner Option 2 – Hard noodles that you boil, plus low fat meat sauce or tomato sauce. If neither appeals to you add pesto sauce. Plus bread or a roll for extra calories.

Remember to drink 64 ounces of water per day, approximately 8 large glasses. This helps to make you feel full, quench thirst, and flush out any bad stuff inside you.

This meal plan will not only help you build the muscle that you want, but shed any fat off you may have.

    Goodluck on your diet.

in the morning if you can wake up pretty early, thats when you have the most energy! drink a bottle of water plug in your ipod or whatever and listen to music as you run! — thats my first step. Then you go home, eat a really healthy breakfast like fruit salad or something thats nutritonal. After that you pretty much clean the house or whatever maybe take a walk while its cool, walk your pet dog, if you have one, i like to spend the morning doing that while its not so hot outside! After that you wait a few hours being active as can be, then you relax a little and do some sit ups and lift weights to your own schedule… and your own statistics like weight height goals.. or whatever.. thats what i usually do! And then i like to stretch at the beginning of the day.. haha
    MORE TIPS:
chew gum – sugar free. It makes you not snack because if you chew it, you dont want to snack because then you will have to spit out your gum! works for me..
EXTRA: breathing for an hour burns 60 calories, so thats a little lift off your chest haha
and sleeping is the same rate :)
excersise at least 60 minutes a day if you can :)
another person: hey, you know what? The most unexpensive weight loss thing to do, is to try to burn more calories than you eat, dont eat unhealthy like a 500 calorie diet! All that will do is make you sick, you NEED to be healthy to lose weight properly. Im trying to lose weight too! So basically here are some tips to speed up your metabolism: Drink 1-3 glasses of green tea a day.Try and eat Chilli peppers somehow, ((chilli DUH )) they help.
8 classes of water a day.the more active you are, the faster your metabolism will grow to be.did you know that breathing for an hour burns 60 calories all on its own? And SLEEP is very important, try to go to sleep on time and get your ages average amount of sleep,. ask your doctor what a healthy weight for you is, and then after you have reached that goal do sit ups and crutches – among many other core excersises, Run to slim out, and make sure you burn more calories than you eat – had to repeat that! Fruits and veggies are REALLY low in calories and FULL of nutrition. If you like Tacos? Ditch the hard shell, maybe try a taco salad.. without the shell of course! Lettuce with meat is good, but PLEASE try mixing it with turkey and beef so that it isnt all fat. Chicken salad is good, you want the protein but you dont want fried anything really, once in a while if fine but remember – YOU HAVE TO BURN OFF THOSE EXTRA CALORIES. Excersises excersise excersise. Dont over do it – dont starve yourself, be moderate and stay active. GOOGLE: 100 ways to burn 100 calories, their are some pretty cool things you can do!
Stay away from starchy and high carb foods – mostly white things. Bread is a bad, so try to stick to thin, HIGH in fiber, slices :) you can google all the stuff and before you know it you will feel so good about it all and IM actually excited to start working out and all that, just because I know what it will do for me!go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7 p.m! and evry week, go onto this site: http://kidshealth.org/teen/nutrition/wei…

  • carbs: eat wholemeal/brown breads, rices, pastas, etc. ricecakes and rye crackers are great if you want to take breads out of your diet altogether.

protein: eat chicken, fish, eggs, tofu, soya beans.
its amazing the amount you can make with eggs, and they're soooo nutritious. 100% protein.

vitamins & minerals: eat loads of vegetables and fruit. make like veggie stir fry, veggie curry, salads, soups, veggie dips, etc.
eat low fat dairy products like low fat yogurt, milk, cheese etc.

fat: avoid saturated fat…. fat from animals, like deep fat fried foods, take aways, sausages, fast foods, chips, crisps, etc.

water: drink LOADS of water! water is amazing. it helps to keep your digestive system working properly, plus healthy skin, nails, etc.

*peanutbutter on ricecrackers is a really good combo! good carbs, good protein, & good unsaturated fat!

exercise: if you don't usually exercise, well then fast paced walking for at least 30mins a day will help you tone up (especially your legs) and help you lose weight. maybe try jogging for a bit too, or a mixture of both!

  • Trans fats (check the ingredients for partially hydrogenated oils) are the only fats that have no nutritional value whatsoever, so they should be avoided whenever possible. In high amounts, saturated fats can be artery-clogging and can cause diabetes and other metabolic dysfunctions. Do not cut them out of your diet entirely, however. They are needed for proper cell function and help make up cell membranes. Aim for 10% of your calorie intake per day to be from saturated fat (ex: if you need 1700 calories a day, do not exceed 17 g saturated fat a day).
