So why not choose the spicy salsa?

Some individuals may think that chaging their eating habits to eating healthy cooking is too hard. However, this is not always the case. If you are really determined of living a healthy life, things will just be simple. These simple changes can bring great difference. Eating healthy cooking might just be one of the best choices that you can make in your life. Do not deny your body of the benefits that it deserves. The better benefits shall follow.

  • Okay, well I'm not gonna lie, only read the first part because this was so ginormously long. There is no way I'm reading all of that.
    However, having worked with seven registered dieticians, here's the basics – although you should definitely talk to a dietican yourself.

    Healthy means a balance. Balance, variety, and moderation. No one food is "bad" for you. We need 3 main macronutrients: carbs – our main energy source, protein – muscles etc., fats – satiety & flavor. All three are extremely important. Fats are not unhealthy. You actually need a certain amount of saturated fat (yes, saturated) in your diet.

    Here's a good sample mealplan:
    Breakfast: 2-3 grains, 1 oz. protein, 1-2 fats/lipids, 1 fruit
    Lunch: 2-3 grains, 2-3 oz. protein, 1-2 fats/lipids, 1 fruit/dessert, 1 vegetable
    Dinner: 2-3 grains, 2-3 oz. protein, 1-2 fats/lipids, 1 fruit/dessert, 1 vegetable
    And snacks in between usually. (Usually at least one)

    The American Heart Associated recommends 3-5 days per week, 30-60 minutes, of activity/exercise. Find something you enjoy; don't make it a chore.

  • Way too much information but cancer loves sugar, so eat less sugars or if you do, eat complex carbohydrates. Fresh vegetables and fruits are good and I read a book that cancer hates…

    * citrus, cabbage, Omega 3 foods like eggs, and garlic just to name a few.

    Fuel your body with the best foods that you can, if you think something is bad it probably is.

  • Trans fats are supposed to be the worst fats there are and they are often used as preservatives in cakes, cookies and biscuits and other foods. They are hydrogenated unsaturated fats. Saturated fats occur mainly in animal fats (including dairy products and eggs) but also in coconut oil and palm oil.

    Saturated fats and trans fats can lead to high cholesterol, high blood pressure and lots of other health problems.

    The fats in vegetables (except coconut oil and palm oil) are all unsaturated fats and these are actually good fats as they raise your good cholesterol (HDL) and lower your bad cholesterol (LDL) and lower your overall cholesterol.

    Veggie Spring Roll =)

    This vegetarian Chinese-style spring roll recipe uses shiitake mushrooms and soy sauce for a very Asian flavor. You can also learn how to wrap spring rolls by following my illustrated step-by-step instructions here.
    INGREDIENTS:
    1/3 green cabbage, chopped into thin pieces
    2/3 cup fresh bean sprouts
    1/2 cup snow peas, sliced into thin strips
    3/4 cup shiitake or portabello mushrooms, sliced thin
    3 scallions, chopped
    2 carrots, grated
    2 tbsp soy sauce
    1 tbsp sesame oil
    one bunch fresh mint
    spring roll wrappers
    water
    PREPARATION:
    Combine all ingredients (except for wrappers and water) in a large mixing bowl, stirring well to coat the veggies with soy sauce and sesame oil.Submerge spring roll wrappers in water until pliable one at a time.Place 2 to 3 tablespoons in wrappers. Place two or three mint leaves on top and wrap your spring rolls. Serve with a dipping sauce.

  • learn to cook and buy organic foods whole and in bulk. Buy locally from farmers markets and you can get great deals on in season foods. learn to can, freeze and dehydrate these foods for later use and you will save thousands of dollars on your annual food bill and cut out 90% of the crap in your diet.

    To do this you will have to invest in canning supplies such a pressure canner, jars, lids, rings, a chest freezer, a dehydrator, a 4 gallon cooking pot and this will cost quite a bit of money (around $1,000) initially but these items will last you for decades.

    Will you lose weight? Only if you don't over eat
