Eat Healthy Food And You Can Live Healthy

Eat Healthy Food And You Can Live Healthy

A central concern of the society in which we live is health. People are getting more and more conscious about living a healthy life. Eating healthy food is of course a great way to improve your health and stay healthy. A common misconception among people is that healthy food refers to bland and boring food that is widely available as a natural food co-op. However, healthy food is actually what you eat every day, only it is prepared in a slightly different way.

Healthy food as well as healthy eating habits is pleasant for the palate. Closer the food is to its natural state; the healthier it is for you. You can improve your eating habits by cutting down on packaged food. This kind of food, although convenient, is filled with preservatives and artificial ingredients. Healthy food can be convenient too, once you get into the habit of preparing them.

It is very easy and inexpensive to prepare and eat healthy food. Here is an example: grill some lean hamburger patties until they are well cooked. Once this is done, place the patties on whole grain all natural hamburger buns. The burgers can be served with a tossed salad as well as a side of steamed green beans. Follow it up by serving fresh fruit for dessert. This entire meal can be prepared within half an hour and includes a variety of healthy food.

Grilling lean meat, fish, or chicken does not take a long time. While the meat cooks, you can easily toss up a salad of greens and vegetables. You can also round out the meal by using frozen or fresh vegetables. You can bring in variety into your meals by using healthy foods that you have never tasted before. Be sure to check the produce section of the local grocer, which will be stocked with a whole range of exotic fruits and vegetables. Some produce sections also offer recipes on how to cook the vegetables with which you are not familiar. This is a great way to introduce your children to healthy foods. You can also experiment with fresh herbs that can add new flavors to your meal.

Preparing healthy food on a regular basis will help you to make fast health nutrition meals. If you get the time, try using healthy food in exotic recipes. Healthy food can be prepared before hand and frozen for later use. When you prepare your own frozen food, you can be absolutely sure that there are no artificial additives or preservatives.

Encourage your children to get involved in the preparation of healthy foods. This will create a time that you can share with them. Eating healthy food does not cost you much of your time or money and most certainly, it is a better option for you.

  • Great Question!! I know this is long but you touched on a topic that I am passionate about.

It isn't about how long my life is, it is about how much I get to enjoy the time I have here. Truth is I enjoy eating healthy. By eating healthy I have more energy to enjoy my life. My healthy lifestyle enables me to be able to use my sick days as healthy days. I actually get to do fun stuff instead of being sick at home. Yea, just like Ferris Bueller!! I have just made it an entire year without even a cold. That is living! That is so much more fun to me than a slice of chocolate cake. Now don't get me wrong. I am no health nut. I can't go out for Italian and not get the Tira Misu. I know how to enjoy food. But food is instant gratification. The enjoyment I get from yoga, and a reasonable diet is long term enjoyment. I hope to be able to walk down the isle at my grandchild's wedding someday. In my lifetime I have witnessed the invention of the computer, world wide web, cell phone, hybrid car, MP3 player, and so much more! As long as I keep taking care of myself I don't have to worry about my blood pressure and cholesterol.
Truth is this isn't about how long I live. I may die on my motorcycle on my way home from work today. This is about really living everyday to it's fullest. A healthy lifestyle lets me do that. I can shake it on the dance floor longer than any band can stand to play. That my friend is living life!!!

  • OMG I was afraid of the broccoli as well, I thought i’d be the only one haha

  • If you're limited to healthy foods, then when you go to a convenient store, get your sandwich and drink and don't get the chips and cookies. Maybe get a fruit instead? If you get hungry and wanna snack, then don't do junk food. Don't cut it all off completely cause you'll go crazy. Make sandwiches at home if you can, with some vegetables, lean ham, a piece of cheese, a little maynoise or mustard. But slowly cut the mayo away.

No fried foods, no junk foods, no pop or sugary drinks.
Slowly cut it all away, don't stop completely.

  • 50 cent could learn a little something from this awesome 5 star rap vid

  • You could talk to then about what the budget for the week is and try and plan a menu with them that works within that budget and help them do the shopping and also help them cook.

Cooking from fresh is often cheaper than buying everything frozen. If they both work and they're buying frozen for convenience then you could batch cook at the weekend – make a big chili, a big curry, some soup etc then freeze portions. Eating food you make yourself is a good step to eating healthier as there are no preservatives or strange chemicals in it.

Something else you could do is use some frozen veg (do they buy frozen veg?) and make a stir fry. A bag of rice goes quite a long way and shouldn't be too expensive.

You could also use your allowance (assuming you get one) for buying a couple of pieces of fruit or something each day if they don't want to buy any for you (but I'm sure if you asked them, and you made sure it didn't go to waste, then they'd buy some fruit for you).

Have you spoken to your parents about this? Speak to them and see what they say.

  • sure, you could survive on it..but after a while you would likely be prone to chronic medical conditions

  • Stop worrying about what others are eating

  • I loved this video as a kid, but that broccoli frightened me horribly xP

  • Tim:

    This is easy. Don't worry.

*eat lots of fruits and veggies – raw is best
*eat WHOLE grain breads and pastas – not enriched flour or enriched whole wheat flour
*don't eat hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils
    *don't eat fried foods
*eat lean meats (you can eat beef, but stick with flank steak, low fat ground beef, and top or bottom round steak cuts)
*eat raw sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, flax seeds – you can put them on salads or in trail mixes
*dairy is great, yogurt is excellent
*don't eat refined white table sugar (like Domino's) – use all-natural sugar or honey (even maple syrup is better than white sugar because it retains its nutrients whereas the nutrients in white sugar have been stripped out)
*no soda! drink water and skim milk
*no juice drinks – only drink 100% juice
*no sports drinks – they are full of sugars
*eat wild or brown rice – not white
*don't eat foods with corn syrup (you'll find corn syrup in sauces, spreads, desserts, condiments…)
*eat all fruit spreads instead of jelly
    *eat fish

  • the broccoli will eat your soul. DX

  • =D:

There are many natural foods that are far better than processed 'dog' kibble, but you're not feeding your dog those.

What attracts your dog to many processed 'human' foods is the mix and salt and sugar. It's the same thing that makes us rather addicted to fast food and junky engineered food.

If you want to feed your dog a food that she will THRIVE on, not just SURVIVE on, then feed a raw diet of raw meaty bones and muscle and organ meats. It is species-appropriate, meaning it is what her history and physiology has designed for her to eat. You wouldn't feed a rabbit a Slim Jim, would you? Of course not – rabbits are herbivores and besides that, a Slim Jim is a processed food not in a form that a creature can use. So why feed foods to a carnivore that are vegetable- and grain-based and processed into a little piece of kibble?

If you're not sure about a raw diet – and many people aren't, considering the brainwashing over the past 60 years or so by food conglomerates – then at least research it a little bit http://www.rawfed.com/myths/ while feeding your dog a high-quality, non-grain kibble, such as Taste of the Wild, Canidae Grain-Free, EVO, and many others.

A dog won't starve itself, and this food, while nutritionally superior, is not loaded with salt and sugars, so you'll have to retrain your dog to eat what is given to her, instead of being spoiled and manipulating you for something different. Even if she won't eat for 3 days in a row, offer her a bowl for 15 minutes, then pick it up after that. Do this 3 times a day and offer her plenty of fresh water. A little fast never hurt anybody and it certainly won't hurt your dog.

I hope this is helpful to you, and I wish you the best of luck! : )

EDIT: Your dog won't eat kibble – fine, but you've been giving in to that behavior for 12 years now? Then it's a training issue. If your dog is bossy concerning food, then likely she walks all over you in other areas of your relationship. Just find a premium grain-free kibble and put it down a few times a day along with a word, such as "Dinner!" or "Eat!" in a happy tone of voice.

  • @cgsilverscreen2020 I know that broccoli used to scare the crap out ofme

  • jpro:

I was always entranced by the zoomed in camera on the talking food.

  • When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym – a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).
