cancer breast removal

cancer breast removal

I have been doing research on cancer on many ways and for many years.

I have found out that for cancer breast reoval doctors usually prefer surgery.

On the the free site breastcancer.org the various ways of cancer breast removal are reported as following

Lumpectomy, also known as breast-conserving surgery, is the removal of only the tumor and a small amount of surrounding tissue.
Mastectomy is the removal of all of the breast tissue. Mastectomy is more refined and less intrusive than it used to be because in most cases, the muscles under the breast are no longer removed.
Lymph node removal, or axillary lymph node dissection, can take place during lumpectomy and mastectomy if the biopsy shows that breast cancer has spread outside the milk duct. Some people qualify for the less-invasive sentinel lymph node dissection.
Breast reconstruction is the rebuilding of the breast after mastectomy and sometimes lumpectomy. Reconstruction can take place at the same time as cancer-removing surgery, or months to years later. Some women decide not to have reconstruction and opt for a prosthesis instead.

Prophylactic mastectomy is preventive removal of the breast to lower the risk of breast cancer in high-risk people.
Prophylactic ovary removal is a preventive surgery that lowers the amount of estrogen in the body, making it harder for estrogen to stimulate the development of breast cancer.
Cryotherapy, also called cryosurgery, uses extreme cold to freeze and kill cancer cells. Right now, cryotherapy is an experimental treatment for breast cancer.

There is always hope, remember.

  • Axillary nodes are removed for biopsy to detect cancer spread.

This is more of a diagnostic treatment than a cancer therapy.

However, if the cancer has spread to the nodes, their removal would reduce the chance of further spread as it is reducing the source.

  • 1,900 Americans die every day because of the suppression of natural therapies for curing cancer.. THE REAL STORY can be found at ravediet dot com. Google “Healing Cancer from the inside out” See also: “Dying To Have Known”, “The Beautiful Truth” and “The Gerson Miracle”… What your doctor doesn’t (want to) know could kill you.

  • I had 21 lymph nodes removed during breast cancer surgery. Really, time and pain killers are the things that are going to help. Your friend will have been given arm exercises to do, and doing these regularly will help too.

If the pain is excessive or unbearable she should see her doctor

  • I have lost both my breast and you know what, I could care less what people think, do or say if I go swimming and they don't see breast. Today, most people know and understand. Your Dr will give your mother a prescription for artificial breast. They do that so the insurance will pay for it. She will only have to pay a small co-pay. They look and feel real. No one ever knows. I got mine from the well know store "Lady Grace" They deal with this and they are the experts. I think you meant to say in your question. "How will she make it look like it wasn't removed." So relax, all this will be explained to your mom. I wish her the very best. I know what she's going through. Please send my regards and if she needs to talk, she can e-mail me through you. God bless you

  • Sometimes, with a large primary tumor, we may give chemotherapy first to see if it substantially shrinks the tumor mass. Then you know it is a cancer that responds to the specific chemotherapy regimen being used.

BUT – surgery is the gold standard of care for treatment of primary breast cancers. Nothing is better than resecting the primary tumor mass. Lumpectomy and axillary node sampling should not substantially hasten the deterioration of a person's overall health.

If a person presents with metastatic disease, the treatment of the primary breast lesion is different. There are many treatment strategies depending on the presentation of the disease – - too numerous to explain here.

  • This is absolutely awful! It’s not helpful at all. If anything it’s scare mongering! What exactly are you trying to achieve with this??

  • THERES A CURE FOR CANCER.

———————— FINAL VERDICT. YOU HAVE TO BE SMART TO UNDERSTAND

  • I think prevention is the first line to defeat cancer, when you try to prevent some factors that may be led to cancer, you will prevent a large problem, some factors you can modify it like “stop smoking” will aid in lung cancer prevention, avoidance of unhealthy sex like have more than one sexual partner will reduce the occurance of infection especially STD which consider the main risk factors for many cancers.

  • Roma:

hi! i hope this would make you feel better. My mom was diagnosed with breast CA 8 years ago, she was on stage 3, she had undergone mastectomy (her left breast was removed). She had undergone so much pain physically and emotionally, BUT survived. 8 years had passed and she's ok now, a cancer survivor. There is a cure for cancer IF detected early with proper medical intervention and a lot of FAITH.

  • Orchiectomy is a form of hormone therapy used to help control, but not cure prostate cancer. The patient is usually given a choice of this surgical and obviously permanent procedure or the use of daily pills with periodic injections that may be stopped if the patient chooses. Your father’s doctor should have discussed the pros and cons along with the side effects of both with your father and/or family members for a decision to be made.

Breast growth and tenderness is typical as is sterility, loss of sexual interest, erection problems, hot flashes, weight gain, loss of muscle mass and osteoporosis. In other words the lack of testosterone that gives male characteristics such as facial hair, a lower voice and higher sex drive and helps to protect them against many of the things that causes problems with women as we age is no longer there in the levels they are used to, so they begin to develop some of the same problems we have.

Keep in mind your father has just gone through a sudden change in hormones and may appear in many ways, including emotionally, like a woman does when she goes through the change, only we are usually better equipped to deal with it. Although this is just my personal opinion, I believe this aspect of it is often not discussed or downplayed, as 98% of urologists are male and men are men, which I’m sure requires no further explanation.

  • Then you continue with Chemotherapy and hope for a miracle.

  • mainly uterus cancers for female and prostate cancer for male, and the body becomes susceptible for infection, and as we know recurrent infection means recurrent regeneration for cells, this make the change in cell structure and function so easy, and when the function or structure of cells or both are changed the result will be cancer
