It does not make you lose weight. You might temporarily lose some water weight, but the first time you drink water or eat salty food, it's over.

Most spas will not treat a minor unless a parent is present in the room. Minimum age would be 15, and parent with you until 18.

you get either paper underwear provided by them or you have to take your own underwear.
You need to take two or more pairs depending on how much you're having done. You would need an extra pair for each wrap you get.

One pair of underwear to wear as you go into the spa, then the scrub will be put on over your undies but of course it will get wet.messy so you need to bring a dry pair.

They may use a towel for the scrub part if you're lying down which you probably will be. Yeah it will be sandy like stuff but it might not be wet. Maybe thick or sticky like. It could be warm, those are lush. The scrub is so that your skin can be really clean for the mud to penetrate and do it's thing. It's also good for circulation and how your skin looks.

Just phone up before you go and ask about the treatment, or specifically anything you need to bring or about nudity.

Have a nice time : )

edit: NO. They do not see you naked.
You'll be in a private room and the person will leave so you can take your clothes off (you might be wearing a robe) You will be given a towel or your undies and maybe a robe.
Naturally you will cover up any area if it is exposed and they knock on the door and ask if you're ready. Then they do their thing. When the mud etc is ready to come off you'll be given a towel/robe and taken to a room where you can shower or there will be a shower in the room where the treatment takes place and they will leave again until you're ready.

!

It will go something along those lines. Like I said phone up and ask, or look the place up online, there you can find all that out. Are you paranoid or do you want to get naked..? lol

I just graduated massage school myself in Florida..A part time therapist can make about 13, 000-25,000 if they work hard and see clients regularly and a full time therapist it may double that if business is good. That including any tips!!!! Good luck with school. You learn allot of new holistic things but it's hard work...

You will not get rich, if that's what you are thinking. You will barely make enough to pay your bills and eat. Mostly rich people go to spas and get treatments. They are vert cheap when it comes to tipping and paying. If you are considering going to school for 2 or more years, try learning medical massage therapy. Take Phsyical Therapy courses in college. Then maybe you will make more money, working for a doctor or in your own business. Good Luck

If you have your esthetics's license you can do body treatments. You might want to take a class for your own benefit to see how to perform different wraps and do some research to see what company has the best prices. Also do your own "research" and go get wraps and treatments from several different spas in the area your going to be in so you can get an idea of what others are offering and see how different places are doing it. I like Epicuren Brand Spa products the best, they are the most natural and actually do what they say they do. I've worked in quite a few high end spa's. I don't know exactly what the going salary is in that area, I'm in N.W. Florida but your probably looking at $50-60,000 per year if your busy.

To learn those you can go to aesthetic schools. I am an aesthetician who owns a spa and we have massage therapists, but they do not perform salt glows/body wraps, etc. I learned these in school of aesthetics. I am not sure if that is something you can afford to do, with time and money, but its a whole different field than massage and a second license. Sometimes, massage schools offer extra credit classes that teach body wraps, stone massage and others. Try to ask your school if they know how you can add to your degree by doing these courses. Instead of going to school for a second degree just to learn body wraps.

There is nudity but they make u feel so comfortable, and they do it all the time so it's no biggy to them. if u are really shy they are really careful to respect u and ur insecurities. but it really depends on the place.
